About the role
Lead a high-performing team in one of the most picturesque regions of New South Wales. As Coordinator Building Services, you’ll oversee the delivery of professional building, development assessment, and compliance functions across the Clarence Valley. You’ll provide expert technical and regulatory advice, manage workloads, and ensure timely, consistent, and high-quality decisions that support safe and compliant development. With a strong focus on leadership and collaboration, you’ll guide a team of skilled professionals, fostering a positive culture of accountability, continuous learning, and service excellence.

To be considered for this position you will need to:
• Supply relevant certificates and licences
• Attach a cover letter (2 pages maximum) and an up-to-date resume (5 pages maximum) that clearly details your skills & experience as relevant to this position.
• Target questions - answer the target questions - maximum 300 words each question
Q1. What are your qualifications and experience as a building surveyor (all classes), including details related to assessment of development applications and building compliance?
Q2. What is your proposed leadership style to manage Building Services as a high performing team?
Q3. Please describe a situation where you had to get cooperation from your team, and others in an organisation, to identify and deliver a business improvement.

Other important information
This position is located at Council's Grafton Office, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
A probation period applies to this position.
