About the Role

As our Workshop Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind a busy and dynamic diesel service operation. You’ll oversee a skilled team of mechanics, manage workflow, ensure top-quality workmanship, and keep customers coming back with service they can trust.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of qualified diesel mechanics and apprentices

• Managing daily workshop operations, scheduling, and job allocation

• Ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met

• Providing expert mechanical advice and hands-on support where needed

• Building strong customer relationships and maintaining service excellence

• Overseeing inventory, parts, and job costing

• Reporting directly to senior management and contributing to business growth

What We are Looking For

• Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic (Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle or equivalent)

• Proven leadership experience in a busy workshop environment

• Strong diagnostic and technical ability

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Commitment to safety, quality, and team culture

• Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and workshop systems
