Coastal Truck Services is expanding- with a new custom workshop and depot underway for 2026, growing operations in Sydney, and an ever-expanding customer network.
We’re looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to join our Warnervale team and be part of our next chapter of growth.
What you'll be doing
Managing and overseeing all aspects of the workshop operations, including maintenance scheduling, staff supervision, and financials.
Ensure all vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections are carried out efficiently and to the highest standards- in compliance with NHVR Heavy Vehicle inspection and maintenance standards
Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service
Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to workshop mechanics and apprentices.
Implement and maintain workshop safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Coordinate with clients and suppliers to manage job requirements, parts ordering, and service delivery.
Monitor and maintain workshop equipment and tools to optimise productivity
Collaborate with the broader Coastal Group team to identify opportunities for process improvements, business opportunities and cost efficiencies.
What we're looking for
A trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Proven experience as a Workshop Manager
Strong technical expertise in the repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and specialised equipment
Effective leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers and the workshop team
Proficient in using workshop management software and data analysis tools
Thorough understanding of industry regulations, safety standards and compliance requirements
