Workshop Manager

Location: Quinlan Repairs – Heavy Vehicle Repairs Workshop – Penrith, NSW

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Negotiable – Based on Experience and Qualifications

Reports To: Owner/Director

Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager to lead our heavy vehicle repair operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that offers the opportunity to manage all aspects of workshop performance – from customer service and team coordination to workflow management and compliance. The role is ideal for someone who takes initiative and treats the workshop like their own business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the workshop

• Supervise and support workshop staff and tradespeople

• Coordinate job scheduling and ensure timely job completion

• Liaise with customers to ensure excellent service delivery

• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment

• Monitor inventory and workshop supplies

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and training where required

Requirements

• HC Driver’s Licence would be good.

• Relevant Trade Qualification in heavy vehicle mechanics or similar

• Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a mechanical workshop

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to problem-solve and manage workflow under pressure

• Business-minded with a desire to take ownership and grow within the role
