About the role
We are seeking a Head of Science who will be responsible for the Secondary Science Department including the development and implementation of curriculum and the leadership and development of staff - in support of whole school improvement and student flourishing.
Core Duties
Leading the Science Department in providing a Biblical Christian perspective in the delivery of the Science curriculum.
Understanding the legislation and policies that impact on schooling, especially in relation to students and staff within the Science Department.
Managing the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the Science Department to achieve goals.
Curriculum leadership and management of a whole school approach to curriculum development, implementation, assessment and reporting; in collaboration with other CCM schools.
Provide coaching and guidance to teachers and other classroom staff in delivering quality teaching.
About You
You have personal views and beliefs that align with the Christian ethos of the College, and you are able to demonstrate an active faith and church involvement and are able to teach and live from a Biblical worldview.
You will be an Australian qualified teacher with QLD Teacher's Registration or registration with another state and the ability to obtain QLD Teacher's registration;
A passion for and experience in teaching Science.
Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
An energetic and positive attitude.
Remuneration will be set commensurate with experience and qualifications.
