We are looking for an individual who wants to be the helping hand and welcoming face that our community engages with when they use our services.

Bourke Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (BACHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service providing primary health care services to the local community. We aim to deliver holistic, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate health care to the community. BACHS provides a variety of programs under a Primary Health Care model and also offers Visiting Specialist Services.

We have a passionate team working hard to meet the needs of the Community and are now seeking a to bring on board a new SEWB receptionist/administration officer who will be a key member of the administration team.

The role

In this role you will provide professional customer service, and assist in general administrative duties.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:

Ability to build relationships with all levels of the organisation and the community

Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to demonstrated empathy when required

Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively manage workload.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise tact, initiative and sound judgement

Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands

Ability to use computer programs

Ability to hold all relevant security clearances including National Police Check

Sound computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Bourke Aboriginal Health Service (BAHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS), and provides primary health care services initiated and operated by the local Aboriginal community to deliver holistic, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate health care to the community. BAHS is controlled through a locally elected Board of Management, consisting of nine Directors who volunteer their time and services.
