The Site Logistics Superintendent is responsible for developing and maintaining robust processes for material deliveries and offloading procedures. This position will coordinate and facilitate all inbound material deliveries. With a focus on warehousing, supply chain monitoring, and the implementation of systems and procedures to support the Site Logistics Manager. You will support the broader Project Onshore team in coordinating all OSOM loads to site.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Importing, Shipping and Storage of materials and equipment, in conjunction with Offshore Logistics team and Freight Forwarder
- Develop and maintain a robust process for material deliveries and offloading procedures.
- Working knowledge of Incoterms and providing detailed advice in relation to appropriate Incoterms use Offshore and Onshore
- Working knowledge of International Shipping Requirements, including duties and insurances
- Prepare and present reports on project status, highlighting achievements, challenges, and adjustments made.
- Ability to manage and support onsite Logistics functions for receiving transport of items, including OSOM items and movements and liaison with Main Contractor in advance for requesting supporting equipment for movement and unloading.
- Plan, identify and arrange equipment for advanced movements onsite, including OSOM items
- Provide guidance to the storage/warehouse team to ensure in-time material availability at the place of installation and proper storage as per storage and handling instructions
- Assist site team with identifying and specifying storage layout for inside and outside storage area
Skills
- Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility, National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and WHS requirements
- Tertiary education in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
- The ability to strategically visualize challenges around storage and logistics and enable positive outcomes through planning.
Site conditions
- 14 days in, 7 days out. Charter flights from the East Coast.
- Camp accommodation is provided.
- $150K-$160k + super + bonus + site uplift depending on experience.
Project Information
Snowy 2.0 is the next generation of the iconic Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme, and construction of this major pumped-hydro project is well underway. Once complete, the Scheme will provide 2000 megawatts of dispatchable, on-demand renewable power and approximately 350,000 megawatt hours of large-scale energy storage to the Australian National Electricity Market. We are working with the awarded Sub Contractor.
