We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our commercial team. Our clients are Builders and Developers looking for formwork and structure estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

Review of tender documents and understanding of scope of works to tender

Quantity take-offs

Drafting and submitting quotations to clients for concrete structure packages including such works as suspended slabs, columns, staircases, walls, concrete and reinforcing steel (including groundworks)

Ability to read, interpret and understand soil reports

Providing detailed reports/breakdown of costings for the Director to review

Communicating with clients regarding requests for quotations, variations to existing projects, scope of works etc.

Communicating project information to delivery team

Provide input in regards to possible cost saving measures and ideas

Visit job site as needed and required

Analysing completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs

Required Attributes:

Proven experience in a similar Estimating position working on commercial projects

A Tertiary qualification in construction or a related degree with the equivalent knowledge, skills

Strong understanding of construction methodology

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Analytical and attention to detail

Ability to plan, work to deadlines and multitask

Competent computer skills – MS Excel, Access & Outlook are essential, as well as preferred Estimating software.
