About the role

Stroud Homes Brisbane West is searching for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate construction cost estimates to support our growing residential construction business in the Ipswich, QLD region.

Australian work authorisation is required for this position.

What you'll be doing

Carefully review architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documents to identify all materials, labour, and equipment required

Prepare detailed cost estimates by researching and compiling pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors

Participate in the tender and bidding process, providing timely and competitive estimates to secure new projects

Collaborate with the construction team to ensure estimates align with project plans and budgets

Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, recommending adjustments as needed

Maintain and continuously improve the company's estimation tools and processes

What we're looking for

Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably in the residential construction industry

Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and pricing

Proficient in the use of estimating software Databuild or similar and Microsoft Office suite

Training will be provided on our specific estimating software systems

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work closely with the construction team

Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field

Extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal tertiary qualifications
