About the role

Demco Elec Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and driven Estimator to join our team working remotely. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success and growth of our construction projects. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to the strategic direction of the company.

What you'll be doing

Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects

Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify all necessary materials, labour, and subcontractor requirements

Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and other stakeholders to refine estimates

Maintain and continuously improve the company's estimating database and processes

Provide support and guidance to the estimating team to ensure consistency and accuracy

Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Assist with the preparation of tenders and proposals

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry

Experience specifically in electrical and infrastructure construction projects

Proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates

Strong understanding of construction materials, labour, and subcontractor costs

Proficient in the use of estimating software and related technologies

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Australian work rights are required for this position
