As part of the Fiscal Strategy & Financial Reporting (FSFR) team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the State's fiscal strategy by providing expert advice on whole-of-government financial management, governance, and policy. This is your chance to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment where your insights and strategic thinking will directly influence Queensland's economic future.
In this role, you will:
• Provide strategic advice on whole-of-government finance and financial risks.
• Lead the development and implementation of key finance policy initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to resolve complex issues.
• Represent Treasury on committees and deliver high-level briefings.
• Prepare detailed reports, submissions, and presentations under tight deadlines.
• Contribute to organisational strategy and support Treasury's vision.
What experience you will bring:
• Demonstrated expertise in financial management, policy development, and strategic risk assessment.
• Proven ability to lead and implement complex financial strategies and initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with experience managing complex relationships.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality reports and briefings.
• A collaborative mindset, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes in a fastpaced environment.
• Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field will be highly regarded.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
