About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Commercial, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the provision of financial and management accounting services in order to meet statutory, financial and management requirements. The Finance Manager will be responsible for: People and Task Management & Oversight

• Management and oversight of Payroll and Office Manager responsible for transactional accounting and taxation deliverables;
• Finance liaison and business partner.

General Ledger and Finance systems

• Preparation and/or review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
• Preparation and/or review of other key accounts;
• Management/support of General Ledger and other Financial Systems;
• Procurement process administration assistance; and
• Key systems user for finance, procurement, ledger transactions.

Management Reporting

• Oversight of month end process;
• Month end reporting and analysis required for Local and Parent entities;
• Ownership of budgeting and forecasting including required reporting and analysis for Local and Parent entities;
• Business partnering providing reporting and analysis to support delivery of budget;
• Joint venture reporting to Parent company and Shareholders which includes completion of the commentary around variance to budget and all shareholder and stakeholder reporting requirements;
• Cash flow analysis and reporting;
• Local supplier content reporting and other ad hoc reporting requirements;
• Providing commentary, analysis and review around the company’s performance to the management team.

Financial Reporting

• Responsibility for the preparation of the annual statutory accounts;
• Finance lead for Financial Audit process with external auditors.

Taxation

• Finance Lead for Income Tax preparation with external consultant;
• Preparation and/or review and lodgement of BAS, income tax, fringe benefits tax, payroll tax;
• Analysis and reporting of tax positions.

About you, your skills & experience

• Bachelor’s degree + CA/CPA qualified;
• At least 5 years post graduate experience in Financial and Management Accounting or public practice;
• People Management and Oversight;
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to business partner effectively to support delivery of budget and operational excellence;
• Experience working for/with complex organisations (JV/Franchising) with multiple stakeholders;
• Experience working for/with transport/engineering/maintenance and contract management environment;
• Strong excel and system experience.
