This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant ready to step into leadership and be mentored toward a Finance Manager role, or for an experienced Finance Manager who enjoys the technical side of accounting and brings strong group reporting experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll lead the Financial Accounting team in the effective and timely delivery of all financial accounting functions. You’ll take ownership of statutory reporting, audits, and compliance, while also mentoring your team and driving continuous improvement across processes, systems, and controls.
You’ll work in a supportive, people-first environment that values collaboration, development, and innovation, where your contribution will have a genuine impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage the preparation of monthly financial results for senior management and the Board.
• Lead the annual audit process, including the preparation of statutory financial statements and compliance documentation.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and accurate Work in Progress reporting.
• Ensure robust internal controls and proactively manage business risks.
• Develop and mentor the financial accounting team to achieve excellence and cohesion.
• Drive process and system improvements, enhancing efficiency and data integrity.
• Prepare technical accounting position papers and support internal and external audits.
• Partner with key stakeholders to provide financial insights and guidance.

About You

You’re a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys both the detail and the leadership aspects of your role. You take pride in accuracy, efficiency, and building strong relationships across the business.

Skills & Experience:

• CA or CPA qualified.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, consolidations, and statutory compliance.
• Strong systems and process improvement mindset.
• Confident communicator who builds trust quickly with senior stakeholders.
• A hands-on leader who leads by example and enjoys developing others.
• (Desirable) Experience in the aged care, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors.
