About the role

We are seeking a highly capable Business Development Manager to join the team at Farrell Transport Group, a leading provider of transport and logistics solutions along with the supply of Quarry & Sand products as well as landscape supplies throughout Southeast Qld. In this full-time role based in Southeast Qld, you will be responsible for driving business growth and identifying new opportunities to expand our client base and service offerings.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing effective business development strategies to identify and secure new clients

Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients

Conducting market research to stay informed of industry trends and competitors

Preparing detailed proposals and presentations to pitch our services to potential clients

Collaborating with the operations and delivery teams to ensure successful project implementation

Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics to measure the success of business development initiatives & supply weekly summary & updates of Projects.

Contributing to the overall strategic direction of the business

What we're looking for

Proven track record in business development, sales or account management, preferably within the transport and logistics industry

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify growth opportunities

Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively pitch our services as well as working with the internal Allocation Team & the Sales Team.

Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships

Familiarity with market analysis and competitor research

Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

Tertiary qualification in business, marketing or a related field is an advantage
