We are assisting our client with their newly created position of Internal Salesperson to assist our client in growing their business. A well established electronics engineering firm who are diversifying their client base and entering the education sales space, selling to schools, universities, etc.

This is an exciting opportunity for entry level role into the electronics engineering field.
Our ideal candidate would be a graduate electronics’ engineer who has a keen interest in using their knowledge in the sales area within the electronics field to have initial conversations with clients and developing these sales leads. As you grow in the role you will have advancement opportunities and manage your own sales opportunities.
This isn’t just another sales support role; it’s a chance to get involved and play a key part in developing their “education institutes” section of the business. As the new Internal Sales/Business Development person, you will have the opportunity to grow in the role and become a trusted point of contact for customers, where you will provide advice, manage enquiries and eventually grow in to managing end to end sales orders.
The Role:
Utilising the web and procurement/tender sites, research and build potential leads and sales contact lists for tenders for educational institutes Australia wide
Recording all client leads received from Trade Show delegates into a CRM (Client Relationship Management) system to create and update database for record keeping of communication and correspondence
Make introductory cold phone calls and appointment setting for senior business development people to meet and discuss the technical side of offerings
Attend meetings with the senior business development managers on client site or virtually
Have the ability to answer questions on initial marketing calls/appointment settings (hence why the engineering knowledge is helpful to this role)
Assist the sales & marketing team with other tasks as required.
About You:
Great knowledge of electronics and have a keen interest in sales
Be computer literate and be able to use Microsoft Office, Excel, Emails, databases and pick up new programs
Willing to be mentored, learn, and grow, with future advancement within the business
A friendly and dynamic personality possessing a great communication style and be able to speak to people of all levels. Willingness to provide excellent customer service
Happy to pick up the phone and introduce the business to potential clients
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent grammatical and numerical skillset, both written and verbal
Flexible, goal oriented, driven to succeed and have "can do" attitude.
