What you'll do

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide guidance and collaborating with their colleagues to ensure timely and accurate delivery of departmental operational financial accounting activities, compliance with legislative and prescribed requirements and Australian Accounting Standards, Queensland Treasury Reporting Requirements, and contribute to the provision of specialist and professional advice to management and key stakeholders relating to financial accounting.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

• Demonstrates a good understanding of, and recent experience in assisting with, the practical application of Australian Accounting Standards, Financial Reporting Requirements for Queensland Government Agencies, legislation, contemporary financial management practices and policies.
• Demonstrates experience in assisting in the preparation of comprehensive and well-rounded advice to management and other stakeholders and in assisting with the review of policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates involvement and success in contributing to continuous improvement programs and initiatives in the areas of operational financial accounting, with demonstrated ability to work within and thrive in successful teams.
