About your new role
The role undertakes a broad range of asset data capture, analysis, and continuous improvement activities, including the creation, disposal, updating, and enhancement of water, sewage, solid waste, and other key asset information within the City’s asset register. The position also responds to information requests by querying, interpreting, and analysing spatial and non-spatial data, ensuring all outputs consistently meet the City’s quality standards.
Key Deliverables
• Create, validate, and enter As Constructed data from internal and external sources within required timeframes.
• Manage and maintain asset information within Council’s corporate asset systems.
• Build and sustain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for asset systems and data/information management services.
• Escalate issues and/or risks that require resolution at a senior level.
• Ensure compliance with the Corporate Asset Data Standard, Spatial Data Standard, and all asset data management processes and controls.
• Identify asset data integrity issues and implement data improvement activities.
• Extract and provide asset data as required.
We're looking for people who have:
• Diploma in Spatial Sciences and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge in the use of the ESRI suite of products (or similar GIS applications).
• Experience and/or sound knowledge in the use of SAP.
• Strong understanding of asset register processes and the asset life cycle.
• Current Class C unrestricted driver’s licence.
