Where Safety, Assets and Impact Meet!
We're looking for a Plant, Asset & Safety Officer to join our Operations team and take charge of our safety, plant, assets, and fleet across Civil and Hydraulic projects in QLD and Northern NSW.
This is a hybrid role where you'll split your time between the office and job sites, ensuring our teams work safely, efficiently, and with the right tools and equipment every day.
What you'll do with us:
Safety & Compliance – your first responsibility
Ensure site safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks are conducted, documented, and reported by site supervisors.
Oversee the implementation and management of SiteDocs or similar safety program across all sites.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards, and make sure corrective actions are applied.
Develop, review, and enforce our WHS policies, procedures, and SWMS.
Coordinate inductions and ensure all employees and subcontractors are up to date with training.
Make sure every site complies with WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and our company standards.
Plant, Equipment & Fleet Management
Maintain registers and schedules for all plant, equipment, and fleet vehicles.
Track maintenance, servicing, compliance inspections, and insurance.
Manage asset allocation, condition, tagging, audits, and replacements.
Monitor fuel usage, GPS tracking, and vehicle safety standards.
Operational Excellence
Work closely with suppliers and service providers to keep projects running smoothly.
Identify gaps and opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Support multiple sites to make sure our systems and assets enable safe, productive work.
Who we're looking for:
Qualifications & Experience
2+ years' experience in a similar role
Demonstrated experience managing plant, equipment, fleet vehicles, and WHS systems
Strong understanding of WHS legislation and risk management
Cert IV (or above) in Work Health & Safety or similar (essential)
White Card & Current Driver's Licence (essential)
Cert III in Civil Construction or equivalent (desirable)
Eligible to work in Australia with valid work rights
Skills & Attributes
Safety-focused, highly organised, and proactive
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Tech-savvy and able to oversee digital systems like SiteDocs
Confident working independently and across multiple teams/sites
