The Position
The Facilities Officer – Asset Management reporting to Principal Facilities Operations, will work proactively with the Facilities and Leasing team and collaboratively across Council to assist with the development and implementation of programs, projects, strategies, processes and tools that result in improvement to Council’s strategic assets and services management of its facility and building assets.
We are looking for individuals with a strong interest in facilities asset management and a willingness to extend their career. While prior experience is valued, on the job learning and supported additional study options are available.
About You
We’re looking for someone with tertiary qualifications (minimum Diploma) in Asset Management Planning, Facilities Management and/or Business Management and/or at least five years’ professional experience in a similar role. You will ideally be a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) certified Aerodrome Reporting Officer/Works Safety Officer with strong skills in strategic asset planning, procurement, budget management, and applying relevant legislation. You will have proven experience in managing projects, supervising facility operations and contracts, and a solid understanding of building asset management principles. You will also need to hold a current Queensland “C” class driver’s licence and National OHS Construction Induction (White Card).
