Our Business
At Bon Leisure, we are an exciting small business that offers management consultancy services to public facilities, primarily focusing on recreation, sport, and entertainment centres across Australia. Additionally, we provide training courses and mentoring for executive management. Our client base is primarily located in Victoria.
Our office is staffed by a dedicated team, both locally and interstate, supported by numerous assessors working in the field.
This position is situated at our head office in Moorabbin, Victoria, within a state-of-the-art 5-star complex.
Please note: This role is available as an on-site position (contractor or employee) and is not open to bookkeeping, accounting or employment firms looking to offer their services. We kindly request no calls or emails regarding this matter.
The Person
BON Leisure is actively searching for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and dependable individual to fill the role of Bookkeeper and General Administrator. This position entails taking charge of bookkeeping duties and providing general administrative support.
The ideal candidate should possess strong bookkeeping skills, be well-versed in various accounting software packages, and boast a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar capacity. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must, as there will be tasks requiring its use.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks accounting software packages.
Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills including formulas are essential for this position.

The Job
In this role, you will collaborate with a team to serve a diverse range of clients. Your primary responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
Handling full-cycle Accounts Payables & Receivables
Payroll processing
Addressing queries from various parties
Overseeing funds transfers
Reconciling bank accounts on a monthly and/or quarterly basis
Preparing financial documents and BAS
Managing debtors and creditors
The successful candidate will be an integral part of a compact team, demonstrating reliability and exceptional attention to detail. End of the month is a focus for this role; nevertheless, there's flexibility to establish mutually agreeable work hours.
As Bon Leisure's clientele continues to expand rapidly, the demand for accounting and administrative assistance is growing. Initially, we anticipate you will be required for a number of consecutive days, up to 2 weeks to get up to speed and then approximately two days per month to fulfill this role.
Following the initial training period, this position offers flexible availability for one to two days per month. $36 per hour incl. Super
Part time role with super and leave entitlements.
