Be the driving force behind people, culture, and engagement.

They are seeking an experienced HR Officer to play a key role in managing HR operations and fostering a positive workplace culture. Working closely with the Partners and Practice Manager, this is a varied, hands-on position where you’ll be involved in everything from recruitment and onboarding to staff development, compliance, and firm-wide events.
About the Role
Reporting to the Practice Manager and HR Partners, you’ll oversee a broad range of HR and administrative functions to ensure the smooth running of the firm and a positive experience for all staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for staff on HR and employee relations matters.
Support recruitment processes — advertising, shortlisting, scheduling, and reference checks.
Coordinate onboarding, induction, and probation reviews.
Maintain and update employment contracts, policies, and HR manuals.
Oversee payroll processes, leave management, and compliance reporting.
Manage staff training, performance reviews, and development initiatives.
Support firm culture initiatives and organise internal functions and social events.
Ensure compliance with Worksafe, OHS, and Fair Work legislation.
Assist the Practice Manager with various HR and office management projects as required.
About You
Previous HR generalist experience, ideally in an accounting, legal, or professional services environment.
Strong understanding of employment law, compliance, and HR best practice.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Confident using HR and payroll systems, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Why You’ll Love This Role
Supportive and approachable leadership team.
Inclusive, people-focused culture with genuine work-life balance.
Involvement in both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day operations.
Opportunities for ongoing professional development.
