This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on getting things done and knows how critical the right people and culture are to scaling a successful business. You'll take full ownership of Removify’s People & Culture function — driving talent acquisition, enabling high performance, and embedding our core values into everything we do — while we grow rapidly across Australia, the US and beyond.

With 35 team members and strong growth already underway, we anticipate adding at least 15 new hires in the next 6-12 months. As our first dedicated People & Culture Lead, you won’t just be managing processes — you’ll be shaping the team that shapes the company.
What you’ll be owning:
A major part of the role is end-to-end Talent Acquisition — you'll manage hiring strategy, build pipelines, run recruitment processes, and ensure we keep bringing in top talent that matches both our capability needs and cultural DNA.
You’ll also take full ownership of the broader People & Culture function, including:
Culture & Engagement: Driving feedback loops, recognition, values-aligned communication, and events that make people love being here
Performance & Development: Rolling out reviews, career frameworks, and training plans that help our team level up
HR Ops & Compliance: Managing policies, contracts, offboarding, and the HR systems we rely on to operate cleanly and legally
Global Resource Planning: Integrating offshore contributors and managing external staffing partners
Workplace Experience: Keeping our Melbourne HQ humming, from ergonomic setups to team lunches
You’ll report directly to the CEO and act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all things people.
What we’re looking for:
You're someone who’s already been the sole owner of a People function in a fast-growing company (ideally in tech or digital), and you still enjoy being hands-on with hiring and building systems that support rapid growth.
Must-haves:
5+ years in People & Culture or equivalent
Proven success leading recruitment across a variety of roles, including mid-senior hires
Experience implementing performance reviews and career development structures
Strong capability with HRIS/ATS tools (e.g. Employment Hero, JobAdder, etc.)
Comfortable owning compliance, contracts, policies, and terminations
A sense of humour and a genuine care for team wellbeing
Nice-to-haves:
Experience with distributed/global teams
Tech-savvy, with tools like Monday.com, Google Docs, Slack, etc.
