Located just 7 minutes from the Melbourne CBD, Yarraville Club is a leading community venue featuring a sports bar, gaming room, bistro, function spaces, and a newly expanded outdoor area. We’re currently seeking a motivated Bar & Gaming Team Leader to join our leadership team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, service-driven leader to oversee bar and gaming operations during shifts, ensuring our members and guests receive exceptional experiences every time.

This is a full-time position covered under the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award (MA000058) at Grade 5, Level 5 – $73,083.78 per annum plus superannuation.

While your primary focus will be on bar and gaming, you’ll also have the opportunity to work across bistro and events as part of our cross-trained team. You’ll supervise staff, uphold service standards, maintain compliance, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Flexibility for nights and weekends is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support team members across bar and gaming areas

Ensure compliance with all liquor and gaming regulations

Deliver high-quality customer service and promote a welcoming environment

Assist with training and mentoring of staff

Manage cash handling and venue close procedures

Support other departments (bistro, functions, and events) as required

About You

Experience in a bar and/or gaming leadership role within hospitality

Strong communication and team-leadership skills

Knowledge of gaming operations and venue compliance

Calm under pressure with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Flexible availability, including nights and weekends

Positive attitude and genuine passion for customer service

Qualifications

Victorian Gaming Licence

RSG (Responsible Service of Gaming) 1 & 2

RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
