If you’re skilled at motivating teams, managing underperformers, and executing high-volume cold calling campaigns to deliver quality leads, this is your chance to shine!
Position Overview
This hybrid role blends leadership and individual contributor responsibilities. As a Team Leader (30% of your role), you’ll drive team performance, support agent success, and focus on coaching underperformers to meet key performance indicators (KPIs). As an SDR (70% of your role), you’ll execute high-volume cold calling campaigns, qualify prospects, and ensure data accuracy to deliver top-quality leads. Team Leader Responsibilities (30% of your role):
• Motivate and support the team through incentives and tailored campaign recommendations.
• Handle team administration tasks (e.g., attendance tracking, list distributions, ensuring agents have necessary tools).
• Coach underperforming agents on cold calling techniques (e.g., objection handling, delivery), document sessions, and escalate unresolved issues for Performance Improvement Plans.
• Monitor team and individual KPIs (call volumes, conversion rates), spot-check calls for compliance, and provide feedback.
• Escalate data, technical, or QA issues to the Senior Team Leader and follow through on solutions.
Sales Development Representative Responsibilities (70% of your role):
• Execute high-volume cold calling campaigns, working through allocated call lists and completing campaign-specific write-ups.
• Ensure prospect data is accurate, grammatically correct, spell-checked, and meets campaign requirements, including TAL/Exclusion list checks.
• Qualify prospects using BANT methodology and confirm details for lead passing.
• Report consistent campaign errors to Senior Team Leader/Operations Director and liaise with QA as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
• Adhere to all Direct it policies and procedures, comply with legislative requirements, and maintain privacy, confidentiality, and legal regulations.
• Manage your own health and safety, addressing workplace hazards, accidents, and incidents appropriately.
• Maintain a consistent attendance record and be open to any other tasks reasonably requested by the Senior Team Leader.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Team Leader:
• Consistently meet your own daily sales development targets.
• Achieve strong team performance against daily and weekly targets.
Key Relationships
• Internal: Senior Team Leader, Operations Director, Account Directors, other Team Leaders, and Sales Development Representatives (Agents).

We require:
• Proven Lead Generation Performance: Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed individual sales targets in high-volume cold calling environments, as evidenced by prior SDR or similar roles.
• Cold Calling Expertise: Extensive experience executing high-volume cold calls (150-200 calls per day), qualifying prospects using BANT methodology, handling objections, and delivering effective scripts to generate quality leads.

• Performance Management Skills: Strong background in identifying and managing underperformers, including coaching on basic cold calling techniques (e.g., objection handling and delivery), documenting sessions, escalating issues, and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary.
• Coaching and Training Abilities: Proven success in providing one-on-one coaching and feedback to improve agent performance, including spot-checking calls for compliance with campaign requirements and escalating advanced training needs (e.g., campaign-specific BANT) to senior management.
• Administrative Proficiency: Experience handling minor team administration tasks, such as attendance tracking (e.g., sick leave and leave requests), list distributions, and ensuring team members have the necessary tools and resources to perform effectively.
• KPI Monitoring and Reporting: Familiarity with tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), including call volumes, conversion rates, and team performance, with the ability to provide regular updates and escalate data/technical issues.
• Attention to Data Accuracy and Quality: Meticulous experience in completing detailed write-ups, ensuring all prospect information is accurate, grammatically correct, spell-checked, and compliant with campaign-specific layouts, including checking against TAL and exclusion lists.
• Campaign Management Knowledge: Ability to read, understand, and adhere to campaign requirements, scripts, and related files, while advising on consistent errors and liaising with QA teams to maintain lead quality.
• Compliance and Professionalism: Strong adherence to company policies, privacy regulations, legislative requirements, and health/safety standards, with a consistent attendance record and willingness to handle additional tasks as requested by senior leadership.
