Full Time | Paddington, Sydney | $80,000 to $100,000 + Super | Immediate Start

South Pacific Fabrics is one of Australia’s leading distributors of luxury interior textiles, wallcoverings, lighting, furniture and accessories. Representing some of the world’s most influential design houses, we work closely with Australia’s top interior designers and architects on residential and commercial projects.

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-focused Accounts & Operations Coordinator to join our Paddington head office. This is a diverse role that blends accounting, administration and operational support. It is ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, thrives on structure, and takes pride in accuracy.

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO and external Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and play a key part in improving systems and reporting as we transition from MYOB to Xpect.
This role suits an experienced bookkeeper or finance officer who is ready to step up and contribute to a business that values precision, initiative and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, receivable and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts, cashflow reports and supplier analysis
• Oversee payroll for 15 staff across NSW, VIC and QLD including PAYG, super and STP
• Prepare BAS and IAS for external accountant review and submission
• Manage international supplier payments in EUR, USD and GBP and track FX exposure
• Support year-end reporting, compliance and financial review processes
• Contribute to systems migration and help improve internal processes
• Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

About You

You are steady, organised and approachable. You take ownership of your work and see the detail through. You are confident with systems and numbers and take satisfaction in well-run processes and balanced books. You also understand the human side of a business where communication, flexibility and teamwork are as important as accuracy.

You will bring:
• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting or finance coordination
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance
• Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft 365, especially Excel. ERP experience is valued
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
• A proactive mindset with the ability to streamline processes and support change
• An interest in design or interiors is a plus
