Lead Finance, Planning & Operations for a Growing Australian Brand

Oztent Australia is a market leader in high-quality camping and outdoor equipment, proudly Australian-owned and built on innovation, adventure, and integrity. As we continue to expand our national and international footprint, we’re seeking a commercially astute Finance & Operations Manager (FOM) to lead our finance, planning, and shipping functions.

This is a pivotal executive leadership role, responsible for driving operational excellence, delivering accurate financial reporting, and shaping strategic direction to support the company’s growth.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the FOM will oversee and integrate all aspects of Finance, Administration, Planning, Shipping, and IT. You’ll manage a capable team across multiple sites, combining hands-on financial processing with strategic oversight and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

· Leading financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and analysis.

· Driving operational efficiencies across planning, shipping, and IT functions.

· Managing the full breadth of company software system including: ERP, CRM, company back up, sales and stock analysis software

· Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, audits, policies, and procedures.

· Overseeing administration, payroll, procurement, and technology infrastructure

· Aligning finance and operations with the company’s strategic objectives.

· Building a collaborative, accountable and high-performance team culture.

About You

You’re an experienced senior finance leader with a strong background in operational management and strategic planning. You’re comfortable moving between detail and big-picture thinking, and enjoy being hands-on where needed.

You will bring:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business and/or Operations (minimum Bachelor’s).

Proven leadership experience managing finance and operations functions.

Advanced knowledge of accounting systems and financial reporting.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to integrate business analytics into decision-making.

Excellent people leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with strong planning and organisational skills.
