Fundraising & Communications Officer
- Location: Centennial Parklands & Work From Home
- Hourly Rate: $90 Per hour + Super
- Part-Time: 21 hours per week (3 days)
- Duration: 12 months | 3 November 2025 – 6 November 2026
About the Role
Centennial Parklands is seeking an experienced and passionate Fundraising & Communications Officer to help grow support for the Parklands’ conservation, community and education programs. Working across fundraising, donor relations and communications, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging campaigns and inspiring our supporters to make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective donors through tailored engagement strategies.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver major fundraising appeals, including the Annual Giving and EOFY campaigns.
- Organise and deliver donor and supporter events to increase retention and giving levels.
- Develop and distribute compelling communications — including newsletters, impact reports, web and social media content.
- Support marketing initiatives to increase awareness of the Centennial Parklands Foundation and its priorities.
- Manage and promote the Bequests Program.
- Assist with preparing and acquitting grant submissions for key projects.
- Maintain accurate financial, donor and administrative records to ensure compliance with governance and reporting standards.
About You
You’ll be a proactive and creative communicator with a strong background in fundraising or not-for-profit communications. You can balance multiple projects with ease, build meaningful donor relationships, and deliver results that make a difference.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor engagement or communications within a not-for-profit setting.
- Proven success in planning and delivering campaigns, donor events or community engagement initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire and influence.
- Proficiency in digital platforms, including email marketing, social media and website content management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
