Your new role

As a Senior Governance Officer, you will support the Head of Governance across a range of complex and routine governance matters.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting independent probity reviews of procurement processes
  
• Managing internal and external investigations and complaints
  
• Overseeing compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
  
• Administering applications under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009
  
• Supporting policy development and corporate governance initiatives
  
• Maintaining key governance registers and databases
  
• Facilitating Code of Conduct and Fraud & Corruption Prevention training
  
• Assisting with annual reporting and privacy compliance
  
• Supporting implementation of the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022
  

This is a contract role through to 30 June 2026, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing governance team. The role offers a
hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant Local Government experience
  
• Experience in drafting reports, policies and correspondence
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
