Fundraising & Communications Officer (Part Time)

NSW Government Organisation – Eastern Suburbs + WFH – 3 days per week (21 hours) – ASAP start until 06/11/2026 – pay rate: $80 - $90 per hour + super

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing and prospective Giving Circle donors through tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies to grow the supporter base and increase engagement.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver fundraising appeals, including the Annual Giving Program and End of Financial Year (EOFY) appeal, achieving fundraising objectives on time and within budget.
  • Organise and deliver supporter events and stewardship activities to increase retention and levels of giving.
  • Develop and distribute high-quality communications, including eDMs, e-newsletters, impact reports, website and social media content.
  • Support marketing efforts to deliver awareness-raising activities to promote the Foundation and its priorities.
  • Promote and steward the Bequests Program.
  • Support the development, submission, and acquittal of external grants to secure funding for the Foundation’s priority projects.
  • Maintain excellent administrative and financial and donor records to ensure governance and regulatory requirements are met.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or communications within a not-for-profit environment, including planning and executing campaigns, donor events, or community engagement initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal, marketing and communication skills, particularly in written communication
  • Ability to build and maintain positive donor relationships.
  • Proficiency with digital platforms, including websites, email marketing, and social media.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills,
  • ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and the interests and expectations of internal and external stakeholders, while operating in a high-pressure environment and under tight deadlines.
