The Suburban is Ringwood’s local – a place for good food, cold beers, and great company. We’re on the lookout for a hands-on Venue Manager who’s passionate about hospitality, loves being part of the action, and knows how to lead a team while keeping things running smoothly day to day.

About the Role

As Venue Manager, you’ll be running the show – leading the team, keeping service standards high, and making sure every guest walks out happy. You’ll manage everything from rostering and stock to events and daily operations. It’s a role for someone who’s just as comfortable behind the bar as they are looking at the numbers.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading a team of legends across bar, floor, and kitchen

Creating a positive, fun, and professional team culture

Making sure every guest has a great experience, every time

Overseeing stock control, ordering, and cash handling

Managing rosters and labour costs to hit budget targets

Working with the owners on marketing ideas, events, and community partnerships

Keeping the venue compliant with RSA, food safety, and OH&S standards

Jumping in where needed – we’re all about leading from the front

What We’re Looking For

At least a couple of years’ experience managing a busy pub, bar, or restaurant

A people person who can motivate a team and connect with guests

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

Confident managing budgets and reporting

RSA essential; Food Safety Supervisor preferred

Someone who takes pride in their venue and loves the hustle of hospitality
