Loop Roof Duty Manager Roles and Responsibilities

The position suits a natural leader- someone who can drive, motivate and develop the Loop Roof team, while leading by example.

The candidate should be highly motivated and enthusiastic about growing and developing the Loop Roof business to new levels of popularity and success.

You will be dedicated to ensuring all customers enjoy a truly unique experience, that staff performance meets/exceeds expectations, and that targets are met.

This is a diverse role. In summary, we require a savvy operator who can perform the following key responsibilities:

● Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations with the Venue Manager & Assistant Venue Manager of Loop Roof

● Formulate fresh policies with the Venue Manager & Assistant Venue Manager to create further opportunities for Loop Roof, and also address perceived weaknesses that may exist within the business

● Introduce hospitality training and tasting sessions regularly to Loop Roof to keep boosting our profile and venue awareness

● Manage daily operations and work shifts as directed by the Loop Roof Venue Manager & Assistant Venue Manager. Assist in developing our bar procedure checklists

● Assist the Venue Manager & Assistant Venue Manager with any administration tasks including but not limited to; stocktake, ordering & rostering

● Co-ordinate and supervise with the Venue Manager & Assistant Venue Manager a small and dynamic team of approximately 10 bar and floor staff

● Close liaison with our Loop Functions Manager to assist where necessary with function enquiries and logistics. Aid the Function Manager in formulating appropriate Loop Roof function packages

● Manage inventory/stock and cash management of tills. Computer, POS literacy and competency with online stock systems

● Creative control of your own cocktail menus and specials - liaising with the Loop Roof Venue Manager, Assistant Venue Manager and bartenders over appropriate seasonal garden/herbal/floral themed cocktail menus

● Express a passion for excellence in hospitality, and be 100% committed to providing exceptional standards of bar and customer service.

● Exhibit a hands-on management style, leading by example at all times. Being present in the bar over busy and late weeknight and weekend times is a crucial element of this role.

● Use your personal and professional networks in a way that allows Loop Roof to continue to build a strong local customer base

● Ensure immaculate venue presentation and a relaxed, secure environment for patrons

● Responsible for the development of staffing, by educating them on procedures, training sessions and one to one mentoring

● Motivate and nurture staff: leading by example by competing in a range of available cocktail competitions - including World Class and Bacardi Legacy. Encourage other promising Loop Roof bartenders to enter these competitions as well

● Keep updated on cocktail and hospitality trends from around the world

● Report to the Venue Manager & Assistant Venue Manager on any maintenance which is required
