We’re looking for a highly organised, proactive Accountant who enjoys taking ownership and being part of a close-knit finance team supporting a dynamic multi-store business.

The Role
As a key member of the finance team, you’ll play an integral part in the day-to-day accounting operations of the business group. You’ll work closely with the external accountants and business leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance, while supporting continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
• Oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Balance Sheet reconciliations, including intercompany transactions
• General Ledger maintenance and accuracy checks
• Preparation and lodgement of monthly and quarterly BAS and PAYG statements
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset and Hire Purchase Registers
• Preparation of year-end financial statements and reports
• Ad hoc management reporting as required

About You
You will be a hands-on Accountant who takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork. With excellent technical skills, you will have a proactive approach and strong communication skills to build effective relationships across the business.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or similar
• 3–5 years’ accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Proficiency in MYOB (highly regarded)
• Team-focused attitude and willingness to learn and grow
• Experience in the retail industry (advantageous but not essential)
