Eyre Trading Pty Ltd is the leading Industrial Supplies and trade tools specialist in regional South Australia. We currently offer four branches to serve our diverse customers with their Industrial and Engineering supplies. A large percentage of our customers are business to business (customers including BHP; Nyrstar; Government Councils; etc) each branch also provides customer service for general retail sales.

JOB TITLE: Accountant (general)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time

A minimum requirement of 38 hours / week (plus any reasonable additional hours to fulfill the job requirements).

SALARY: $76515 plus superannuation

LOCATION: 45 Edinburgh Street, Port Lincoln SA 5606

SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Report directly to the Managing Director

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Preparing financial statements for presentation to Directors and management•Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies•Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits•Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements•Analysing the financial aspects of commercial transactions•Examining operating costs and organisations income and expenditure•Monitoring financial systems and procedures to ensure alignment with accounting standards and regulatory obligations, recommending improvements where necessary.•Supporting management in developing long-term financial plans and forecasts through data-driven analysis and scenario modelling.•Performing any other duties as may be reasonably directed or considered relevant by the supervisor or management

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications: .

•Bachelor of Accountant or relevant experience

SKILLS:

•Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

•Excellent verbal and written communication

•Accuracy within a fast-paced environment

•Proven time management and organizational skills
