Xavier College is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our vibrant and expanding Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager under moderate direction, the Financial Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the College’s business and financial operations.

This is a dynamic and varied role, suited to a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional looking to work in a purpose-driven environment.

As Financial Accountant, you will:

Prepare end-of-year financial statements and supporting documentation for audit.

Assist the Finance Manager in budget preparation and forecasting.

Support strategic planning and decision making through preparation of financial reports.

Prepare of monthly BAS, annual FBT returns, and other tax compliance documents

Support fee collection processes

Process salary claims and reimbursements

Work collaboratively with the Finance team to support the College’s financial health, compliance, and long-term sustainability

About You

You’ll be a skilled accounting professional with:

A Diploma or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar, and/or significant work experience in a comparable role.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and financial legislation.

A collaborative and professional approach to supporting leadership, staff and the Finance team.

Ability to analyse, diagnose, design and implement solutions across a broad range of technical and operational functions

Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
