Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 + Super (experience dependent)

We’re seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-regarded construction company with a strong pipeline of projects across Queensland. Based in their Morningside office, this role offers the chance to take ownership of the AP function while being part of a supportive finance and project team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Contract Administrator, you’ll manage end-to-end accounts payable and provide valuable support to the CA team with project administration. This is a hands-on, varied position where you’ll be trusted with responsibility and given the tools to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery dockets via electronic platforms

Register subcontractor claims and ensure timely approvals

Investigate and resolve invoice queries with subcontractors

Code, process, and prepare payments

Reconcile creditor balances, statements, and credit card accounts

Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end processing

Complete creditor account applications and database setup

Support the CA team with trade certification docs, buyer handover packs, QA filing, and quotes

About You

Proven accounts payable experience (essential)

Background in construction or related industries (preferred)

Experience with Jobpac highly regarded (Cheops, Databuild, COINS also considered)

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Confident liaising with subcontractors and internal teams

Team player who can also work independently
