Desert City Wellbeing is a hospitality company that delivers our services in the Aged Care across Australia. We are a privately run Company that prides ourselves on keeping our hospitality culture wherever we operate. We manage small to medium operations that guarantee our staff can engage with our customers and give them a truly personal experience. Our management lead from the field.

This position is based in Brisbane and reports to the General Manager. We are a dynamic company that really values high performing people and many of our senior management have worked together for over 10 years now. We think its a great place to work.

We know and respect good hospitality professionals; we find clients that respect and value that too. Our office is in Fortitude Valley and is the hub for our operations across Australia. We have offices in Adelaide and Toowoomba that support our back of house functions but in Brisbane you will work daily with our Staffing, Admin and Executive.

Traditionally applicants for this role would come from a hospitality background but if you have extensive people and IT management experience and love good food and hospitality we can train you how to ply your trade in our business. You will be working with chefs and hospitality professionals who are all passionate in their trade and we expect this role to drive that energy. The Role

The Operations Manager is the key front-line manager in our business. The role is charged with managing the day-to-day operations and leads the Desert City Wellbeing implementation to our clients teams.

The key functions of the role of Operations Manager are:

Work with customers to implement our systems

Oversee rollout of new business in new sites across Australia

Liaise with IT suppliers to ensure seamless implementation,

Liaise with clients day to day on problem solving and general queries,

Ensure clients expectations are met,

Identify opportunities for training and actively promote staff to undertake training as required,

Review cost reports and liaise with suppliers on discrepancies,

Foster employee involvement and participation with the systems and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Focus on quality and safety

Travel to site and oversee the implementation of systems and processes as required.

Identify opportunities for improvement to keep the Company operating most efficiently and meet our targets

Liaise with clients to mobilise, operate and demobilise business as required. Plan for growth and resource this accordingly.

Experience & Skills prerequisite:

High Level MS suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI

Implementation experience with proprietary software.

Communication – Written, Verbal, Training and Presentation skills to a high level.

Hospitality Background, can communicate with Chefs and Aged Care staff

Management experience, can review a strategy and implement a plan.
