About Equity Works
Equity Works is a trusted not-for-profit disability support organisation, proudly serving the Sunshine Coast community for 25 years. Known for their strong community ties, Equity Works delivers genuinely person-centred disability support services.
At Equity Works, you’re not just part of a team, you're part of a values-driven community that recognises your contributions and supports your growth. Equity Works is driven by a clear mission to deliver high-quality services and contribute to the development of an inclusive community.
Role Summary
We are seeking a passionate and purpose-driven NDIS Operations Manager to lead our support services with integrity, clarity, and care. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality and efficient operations that reflect our mission. Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Manager will promote strategic and compassionate leadership alongside our experienced and committed Service Managers and frontline team. We are committed to fostering a supportive culture where people feel valued and are inspired to grow.
We’re seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient professional with a deep understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards. This role demands a strong foundation in quality assurance and service delivery within the NDIS framework. Ideal candidates will bring substantial hands-on experience and a proven ability to interpret and apply the standards in complex operational environments.
This is a hands-on role for a confident and capable person who thrives in dynamic, mission-led environments. You will harness the power of shared leadership, navigating complexity with calm, and solving challenges collaboratively. There is an organisational focus on collectively building systems and teams that deliver exceptional outcomes. With a strong foundation already in place, you will work closely with others to enhance performance, joy, and agility across the organisation, while strengthening our reputation as a trusted and values-aligned partner in the NDIS community.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the operations of NDIS services—working with teams, ensuring responsive, person-centred services that reflect the unique needs and aspirations of each person we support.
Ensure all services meet and exceed compliance requirements under the NDIS Practice Standards, SCHADS Award, Fair Work, and WHS obligations.
Embed systems and processes that deliver consistent, compliant, and cost-effective services. Lead audits, risk assessments, and service reviews with a focus on learning, innovation, and excellence. Ensure feedback and complaints are used as opportunities for growth and improvement.
Build and maintain authentic, respectful relationships with community partners. Represent the organisation with integrity and actively seek opportunities to expand services and deepen community impact.
Contribute to workforce planning and strategic initiatives that attract, engage, and retain exceptional staff. Contribute to living systems approaches that enable sustainable growth without compromising our service excellence culture.
Collaborate on key business decisions, growth initiatives, and integration of new services. Maintain a continual focus on client experience and outcomes, driving innovation that enhances relevance, reach, and reputation.
Act as an authentic and inspirational leader, cultivating a high-performing, purpose-driven team that loves what they do and the difference they make. Remove barriers to success, celebrate achievements, and create an environment where joy, accountability, and impact go hand in hand.
What we offer
Be part of a passionate, supportive, and purpose-driven team.
Empowerment to lead and make a lasting positive impact.
Enjoy autonomy, innovation, variety and decision-making grounded in ethics.
Flexible work environment, excellent benefits and remuneration, and encouraging management.
Be proud to shape NDIS service delivery in a growing organisation.
The recruitment processes

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an initial conversation. This initial conversation is a chance for us to get to know each other better and explore the role in more detail, and how it fits with your experience and aspirations.
Following this stage, we will invite a selection of candidates to a more in-depth, face-to-face interview.
