We are currently seeking a skilled Operational Accounts and Finance Manager to lead our accounts and administration team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of end-to-end financial operations in a high-performing, values-driven business.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations across all departments including Sales, Service, Parts, and Administration. You'll oversee a small team, lead financial reporting processes, support payroll, and ensure compliance with taxation and accounting standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing daily accounting operations, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance

Preparing monthly management reports and supporting statutory returns (BAS, FBT, GST, PAYG)

Managing accounts payable, receivable, and payroll support

Supporting annual budgets, forecasting, and external audit processes

Leading and developing a small administration and accounts team

Supporting continuous improvement across systems, reporting, and financial controls

Collaborating with department heads and senior leadership on financial performance

About You

You’re a detail-oriented finance professional with a strong background in accounting operations, preferably in the automotive or dealership environment. You enjoy improving systems, mentoring others, and working collaboratively across departments.

What you’ll bring to the table:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (CA/CPA desirable but not essential)

5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a dealership or multi-entity environment

Strong knowledge of Australian tax and financial reporting requirements

Proficiency in accounting software (TUNE, Revolution Next, Xero preferred) and Excel

Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a small team

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong internal relationships

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail

Valid Australian driver’s licence
