The Nature-based Tourism Division is the point of contact for departmental staff and the tourism industry to facilitate sustainable, nature and culture-based commercial tourism and attractions on national, marine and conservation parks and reserves managed by the Parks and Wildlife Service. We are currently seeking a Strategic Business Support Manager to join our team. The Strategic Business Support Manager supports the dynamic Nature-Based Tourism (NBT) Division through coordination and execution of strategic initiatives, financial oversight, and business improvement, with a focus on creating efficiencies and improved workflow for the Business as usual element of the division. This dynamic role focuses on aligning the division’s service delivery with departmental and whole of Government priorities, enhancing revenue opportunities, and addressing operational challenges.
The Nature-based Tourism Division was established in September 2024, making it a newly formed team. This position, alongside existing staff, offers a unique opportunity to help further shape the division, drive innovation, and support sustainable tourism outcomes.

The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior and a current Western Australian motor vehicle drivers licence to commencement.

Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated experience in delivering practical business process improvements and operational support initiatives that enhance service delivery, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
2. Strong understanding of commercial principles and hands-on experience using business systems and digital tools to improve operational efficiency.
3. Proven ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and governance frameworks in both business and operational contexts.
4. Experience in procurement, contract management, and commercial analysis, including revenue planning, pricing strategy, and revenue financial interpretation within public sector frameworks.
