Armesto's Transport is a large privately owned and operated family business based at Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast.

We seek to appoint a dynamic and experienced Transport Operations Mangers to join our business.

You will be responsible for the allocation and coordination and management of a large fleet of interstate linehaul Bdoubles that travel on the East Coast Of Australia and the major cities in between.

Key Responsibilities

Driver allocation

Driver Management

Finding loads creating new business

Communicate with customers as to their freight requirements and delivery requests.

Coordinate repairs and break downs

Monitor drivers and monitor fatigue road safety and compliance and delivery deadlines.

Using GPS to allocate and monitor the drivers for NHVR compliance and ETAs.

Using Seeing Machine Technology to monitor driver fatigue and distraction.

Supervise staff and identify issues and problems and address them.

Completing admin duties encompassing this role.

Working with the other operations team to ensure smooth day to day running of the business.

This role is Monday to Sunday with various permanent shifts and alternating half day Saturday morning for one shift.

Salary varies depending on what shift is performed or duties undertaken.

Suitable applicants must have

Extensive experience in the transport industry.

MC Licence a distinct advantage

Sound Mechanical knowledge

Previous experience of supervision of minimum 100 prime movers and 130 staff.

Sound knowledge of transport rules and regulations.

Basic Fatigue Management Accreditation (Schedulers)

Excellent phone manner.

Be proficient in use of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.

Knowledge of load restraint and freight loading.

Excellent communication skills.

Honesty and Integrity

The ability to work in a fast paced environment independently and as part of a team.

The ability to lead and take charge in difficult situations.

Punctuality and professionalism

Vast geographical knowledge of the East Coast Of Australia.
