About the role

Oreco Group is seeking an experienced Transport & Logistics Manager to join our team in Childers, Queensland. This full-time role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics operations of our growing manufacturing business, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of our products to customers.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing strategic logistics plans to support business objectives

Managing a team of logistics coordinators and drivers to ensure on-time and cost-effective product deliveries

Monitoring and optimising transportation routes and vehicle utilisation

Negotiating contracts with third-party logistics providers and carriers

Identifying opportunities to improve logistics processes and implement new technologies

Ensuring compliance with all relevant transport regulations and safety standards

Reporting on key logistics performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a transport and logistics management role, ideally within the manufacturing industry

Minimum 3-5 years of transport and logistics management experience required

Proven track record of developing and implementing successful logistics strategies

Strong knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards and best practices

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Proficient in using logistics management software and data analysis tools

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
