The Position
We are seeking a proactive and internal stakeholder focused IT Support Specialist to join ACEM’s Technology and Business Services Division.
In this full-time contract role ending in December 2026, the successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of ACEM’s IT systems and supporting staff and members with their technology needs. You’ll provide first and second-level technical support, troubleshoot a range of issues, maintain documentation, and assist with the ongoing improvement of IT systems and processes.
This position is ideal for someone with solid technical aptitude, strong written communication skills, and a professional, service-oriented approach. Flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential. No two days are the same, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow across a diverse IT environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing timely and effective technical support to ACEM staff, members, and trainees.
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across hardware, software, and network systems.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, knowledge base articles, and asset records.
- Assisting with system configuration, software deployment, and endpoint management.
- Liaising with vendors and collaborating with internal teams to resolve incidents efficiently.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of IT support processes and service quality.
Skills and Attributes
The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with a passion for problem solving and helping others. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience in a helpdesk or technical support environment.
- Sound troubleshooting and technical skills across Windows, Office 365, and general IT systems.
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Flexibility and a can-do attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high professional standards.
- Experience with networking, virtualisation, or Microsoft certifications will be an advantage.
