MAMA Midwifery Practice is a leading private midwifery clinic offering comprehensive, holistic care during pregnancy, the postnatal period, and beyond. We take pride in providing a unique, one-stop-shop experience for expectant and new mothers, as well as their families, integrating midwifery and allied health services in a supportive and nurturing environment.
We are currently seeking a part-time Receptionist (0.6 to 0.8 EFT) to join our dynamic team at our Kensington clinic. As a key member of our administrative team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our team of private midwives and allied health practitioners, ensuring that our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. From the moment a client makes their first call or steps through our doors, you’ll be the welcoming face that embodies the exceptional care and support MAMA stands for.
Key Responsibilities:
Opening and closing the clinic with attention to detail and efficiency
Welcoming and assisting Midwifery and Allied Health clients with warmth and professionalism
Handling phone enquiries from current and prospective clients, providing helpful information and scheduling appointments
Coordinating appointments, managing waitlists, and ensuring smooth operations across various services
Managing client records across multiple systems with accuracy and confidentiality
Invoicing and processing client payments, and ensuring all receipts are reconciled at the end of each day
Providing basic IT support to practitioners when needed
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized reception area in line with clinic policies
Ensuring treatment rooms and common areas remain tidy and ready for use
Contributing to MAMA’s warm team environment by supporting practitioners and other administrative staff
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be reliable, proactive, and have a strong sense of initiative
Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
Possess excellent communication skills, including a courteous and professional phone manner
Have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment
Demonstrate strong problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills
Be detail-oriented and thorough in every aspect of their work
Have the ability to work independently while being a supportive team player
Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Be flexible and adaptable to working as part of a small team
Hours:
Reception is open from 7:30am to 5:30pm (with 1-2 later closes per fortnight). Shifts are typically 8 hours, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. We are ideally looking for someone to work 3-4 shifts per week, including one Saturday shift (7:30am to 3:30pm) every fortnight.
We are flexible and open to discussing hours that suit the right candidate, so please let us know your preferred availability in your cover letter.
