• Analyse architectural plans and specifications to determine materials, labour, and costs required for residential home construction projects approx. $1.5/2mil.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Utilize estimating software and spreadsheets to accurately calculate material quantities and costs for each phase of construction.
• Research and analyse market trends, material prices, and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy in estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages for residential home construction projects.
• Present and explain estimates to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in custom home sales estimation within the Queensland home building industry.
• Proficient in Databuild and Onsite Companion, and familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs and preparing proposals for custom home projects.
• Thorough understanding of Queensland building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to residential construction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients, architects, and internal teams.
• Strong customer service orientation with a focus on building and maintaining positive client relationships throughout the sales process.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams including designers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
