About us
Over the past 17 years Hugos Manly has won numerous industry awards for both our food & bar. Most recently we've been awarded Best Family Dining Restaurant NSW in the Restaurant & Catering Awards 2025, with the National Finals taking place next week.
With a new beautifully extended outdoor deck & our trading extended from 6 days to 7, we're looking to bolster our team for this upcoming bumper summer season. We're fitting additional bench space, a flat top, burners & fryers in the Kitchen in order to meet this increased demand.
We are hiring Chefs de Partie across two sections - Meat & Fish Section & Hot Larder Section. We are looking for experienced Chefs de Partie (minimum 2 years) who have worked in high volume venues providing excellent quality food. As one of the largest à la carte restaurant venues on the Northern Beaches, we continually achieve high numbers of main courses over lunch & dinner, with consistency & excellence always remaining our focus.
Applicants will have a genuine passion for the food industry & a drive to consistently produce the best possible dishes. Having established long standing valued relationships with Sydney's top suppliers over the years, we use only the freshest & highest quality ingredients. We have worked hard to create & maintain a great working environment. Our kitchen team is led by Executive Chefs Tal Amiray & Bob Mellor. Qualifications & experience
Minimum 2 years experience as Chef de Partie or above in a high volume, high quality venue
This position is Full Time
Tasks & responsibilities
Assist Executive, Head & Sous Chefs in the day to day kitchen operations. Stock, quality & hygiene control, prep & food service (lunch & dinner). Oversee, mentor & train newer Chefs de Partie, Commis Chefs, Cooks & Apprentices. Ensure workplace safety, health & hygiene standards are maintained, develop & update industry knowledge, report rostering queries & requirements to Executive Chefs, maintain high Hugos standards, strive to exceed guest expectations.
