• Salary: $71,844 pa + Super + Allowances + 9 day fortnight
• Location: Croydon
Maroondah City Council is currently seeking a suitably experienced individual to join its Construction & Maintenance Team. (Civil Infrastructure maintenance)
Reporting to the Built Environment - Works Supervisor, the position is responsible for the completion of both programmed works and reactive maintenance of Council civil assets which includes; paved areas, drainage systems, minor construction works, and sign installations, in accordance with Council’s Road Management Plan, and service delivery standards. You will need to be experience in the use and maintenance of asphalting equipment and techniques.
The successful candidate will need:
• Year 10 or 11/Basic Vocational training (including Pre-apprenticeship, Pre-vocational, Proficiency and Traineeship Certificates)
• Certificate in Traffic Management
• Construction Induction Card
• Current Driver’s License
• Medium Rigid Driver’s License
• First Aid Certificate
The successful candidate may also have:
• Certificate of competency in front end loaders
• Certificate of competency in excavator and backhoe
• Certificate of competency in vehicle mounted crane
• Forklift Licence
