• Permanent full-time position

• Based at our Scarborough office (this location is flexible) with free parking on site and moving to our brand new purpose built facility in Bentley in January 2026

• Salary starting from $121,193.13 per annum plus superannuation

• Unique opportunity to work in an organisation passionate about diversity and inclusion

• Amazing people and rewarding team culture with highly capable and welcoming colleagues

About the Role

This position reports to the Head of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) and leads the quality, compliance, and risk management functions across Wanslea’s ECEC portfolio, ensuring all services meet or exceed the National Quality Framework, Regulatory Standards, and Wanslea’s organisational expectations for quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The role provides expert support to the Head of ECEC and works collaboratively with the Wanslea’s Quality and Risk Team to embed a culture of excellence and compliance across all ECEC programs. It also works closely with the Child Safeguarding Manager to ensure safeguarding standards are consistently applied and that services remain vigilant, responsive, and aligned with organisational frameworks for child safety.

The role contributes to Wanslea’s organisation-wide approach to quality and safeguarding by modelling trauma-informed, inclusive, and evidence-based practice that strengthens outcomes for children, families, and staff across all service areas.

As part of this, the position provides targeted training and guidance to leaders and teams to strengthen understanding of key requirements and support consistent, high-quality practice across the portfolio.

About you

You are a confident and principled leader with a deep understanding of the early childhood education and care sector. You bring extensive experience in quality, compliance, and risk management, and are passionate about ensuring children are safe, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive.

Calm under pressure and clear in your communication, you’re someone others turn to for guidance, particularly when navigating complex regulatory or safeguarding matters. You model integrity, transparency, and professionalism in every interaction, and you bring people with you through change.

You understand the importance of working collaboratively, building trust across diverse teams, and nurturing a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Your approach is inclusive, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence always with the best interests of children and families at the centre.

You are also committed to cultural safety and are respectful and responsive in your engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities.

About Wanslea

Joondanna, WA, Australia

Wanslea promotes community, family, and individual development through partnerships and services

Families and children have been at the heart of Wanslea since the organisation was established in 1943. They are still the focus of our entire organisation, which has now grown to offer services in four key areas.

•Family Support

•Out of Home Care

•Community Capacity Building

•Child Care

Through the commitment of our dedicated staff, who share our values, we are now able to reach out to families located across the Perth Metropolitan area, the Peel, Great Southern and Goldfields regions. Greater access means that we are able to help more families with a range of professional and support services.

It also means that we can be there for the children when they need us. It may be for one night because a parent is ill or it could be for long-term foster care. As always our focus is on the well being of the child. We don’t judge, we don’t discriminate, we’re there to help.
