About Centrecare
Centrecare is a not-for-profit organisation with over 300 employees and is committed to delivering quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation, and training services: in over 11 locations across the Perth Metro, Goldfields and Bunbury region.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Program Manager to join our team on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday. This role is responsible for overseeing, guiding, and supporting service delivery at Centrecare’s Midland and Bunbury offices.
Reporting directly to the Executive Manager, the Program Manager is a key member of our Senior Management Team. The role provides leadership and oversight to a multidisciplinary team including Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners, Counsellors, and Child Consultants operating within the Midland Family Relationship Centre (FRC) and the Bunbury office.
We are looking for a strong leader and communicator with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively toward strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a solution-focused approach, and be passionate about supporting, mentoring, and developing staff.
The Program Manager will provide supervision and support to staff, conduct performance reviews, and monitor service delivery through regular audits and reporting. The role ensures that all team members operate within Centrecare’s policies, procedures, and Therapeutic Framework, while contributing to broader agency leadership and continuous improvement. It also involves promoting the service within the community and representing Centrecare at relevant forums and interagency meetings.
Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor qualification in Psychology, Counselling, or Social Sciences.
  • Family Dispute Resolution accreditation.
  • Senior management experience in the community services sector or a similar environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision skills, with the ability to support staff development and manage team performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to analyse data, write reports, and present outcomes.
  • Ability to effectively represent services in interagency forums and promote Centrecare within the community.
  • Solid understanding of counselling theories and therapeutic frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, aligned with the organisation’s values and purpose.
  • Capacity to liaise, consult, and negotiate with a range of stakeholders and community services.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development—for self and others.
  • Sound knowledge of the Midland/Bunbury regions, including local needs and available support services.
  • Possession of a C Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Current National Police Clearance.

Benefits

  • A competitive remuneration package.
  • Excellent salary packaging options (up to $15,900).
  • Extra 5 days leave per year.
  • Annual leave loading at 17.5%.
  • Comprehensive training and professional development.
  • Clinical and Management Supervision.
  • Insurance cover to and from work.
  • Access to corporate health cover provided for by Medibank Private.
  • Study leave of five hours per week after two years of service.
  • Twelve weeks paid maternity leave.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
