About the role

This is a full-time position for a hands-on Yard Manager to lead and manage our fencing yard employees.

This role is vital in liaising directly with the logistics team and management team to co-ordinate stock preparation and stock cleanliness for transport movements whilst ensuring all requests are carried out to the safest, most efficient practices.

Responsibilities:

Incoming stock control, noting any missing and damaged stock

Weekly stocktakes capturing stock levels and advising ordering requirements

Co-ordinate with management regarding basic repairs for the forklifts and trucks

Liaison with our warehouse team regarding stock movements

Ensuring a clean, safe and organised yard is maintained at all times

Manage and supervise our yard team to ensure maximum workflow efficiency and high safety standards

Overseeing the loading and unloading of goods and ensuring the efficient movement of stock within the yard

What you’ll bring to the role:

Effective time management and attention to detail

Ideally prior leadership experience or potential to develop

Exceptional safety awareness and experience

Clear verbal and clerical communication skills with customers and colleagues

Strong customer service

Qualifications or knowledge/experience of Workplace Health and Safety functions

A current Forklift Licence (must) and a manual MR, or higher (advantage but not necessary)

A White Card (which can be obtained if not already held)
