Experience with Pracsoft Billing software an advantage for this position however training will be provided for the right candidate. Previous medical experience is a MUST for this position.

Guaranteed 15 hours per week , but MUST BE ABLE TO COVER SICK, ANNUAL LEAVE AND RDO'S at short notice.

This position would suit a young computer savvy individual wanting to forge their career in medical administration or someone cutting back their hours to a part time/casual role with previous medical experience.

The Clinic Altona is a small privately owned and operated clinic situated in the western bayside suburb of Altona. Supported by Practice Nurses and a friendly, helpful administrative team. Busy family clinic which also is a covid vaccine provider. Candidate must be able to multi task, work closely with other team members as well as work unsupervised.

No Public Holidays or Weekends and clinic hours are Monday-Friday 7.30-6.00pm.

On site Pathology Monday-Fridays 8-2.30

Our practice requires an energetic and motivated team member to fill a part time/ casual Medical Receptionist position. The Medical Receptionist will be the key point of contact for administrative matters concerning our GPs. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Answering all incoming phone calls, including responding to patient enquiries

Scheduling appointments for new and existing patients in Pracsoft

Providing information about procedures to patients

Preparation of patient files and assistance with preparation of doctors clinics

Meeting and greeting patients

Facilitating patient billing and taking payments

Preparation and distribution of medical correspondence to referring medical providers

The successful applicant will possess computer literacy skills, excellent communication and organisational skills, and thrive in a fast paced environment. Any medical knowledge, will be an advantage.

This position would suit applicants with good interpersonal skills who are able to multi task and solve problems. You need to be able to work well in both a small team environment and independently.
